That's "BeaverSource" not the other type of BS. On Friday I tossed the BeaverSource project into code_swarm. Although the results weren't very interesting, it did make me think about how there were swells that coorelated to the different parts and how it would be cool to add in screenshots showing that. A few hours with iMovie later, and I produced this:
I haven't posted in a while, so I figured I'd do an update. Not much is new, I'm worn out of Spore after starting that Thursday and playing through the following week (I did half days since I had accrued extra time in the spring and playing Spore in the afternoons). Classes start this following Monday, but since Jensen got back I've been doing more research and the non-beaversource related stuff, so I don't think adding on classes will really feel that much different than how this week has felt.
This is what Spore getting leaked to the US 3 days early looks like.

So after having spend a number of months with my MacBook Air and the wonderful mixture of unix, foss, and a very pretty GUI, coupled with the extra cash I have from working 40hours/week this summer (http://beaversource.oregonstate.edu Now with more social and project integration!), I decided to get an iMac. At first I was looking at the Mac Pro, but the cost is pretty high, and I'd still be using my old monitor, while not being able to use a lot of my old hardware (Mac Pro only use ECC ram for example).
I got back from a pretty exciting weekend earlier, and since I haven't done and update in a while, I figure one is in order.
